The Annual Search of the Most Outstanding Accounting Students of the Philippines is now on its 11th year.  The Search is the joint project of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and the Association of CPAs in Commerce and Industry (ACPACI).  Going strong with the support of Philippine Duplicators, Inc. (the exclusive concessionaire of Gestetner) led by its Chairman,  Mr. Vicente Reyes and its CEO,  Atty. Samuel F. Villacampa.  For this year,  the Search has partnered with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)  who provided the case study for the team competition.

The Grand Finals is the culmination of the 3-month event which started with the holding of pre-qualification examinations to 5th year accountancy students in 13 sites nationwide.  Together with this, each University/college is given a copy of the Team Competition case study and the rules.  Last December 2,  6 schools were adjudged by CIMA as part of the finalist.  These are University of the Philippines - Visayas,  Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Dela Salle Manila,  Dela Salle Dasmarinas, Dela Salle Lipa, Ateneo de Davao University
