5th General Membership Meeting – Annual Election & Seminars

This membership meeting was both a regular and annual meeting of members as they came to vote for the 2010 National Board of Directors.  To spice up the luncheon meeting another soft skills talk “Leading at the Speed of Trust and the 8th Habit” was rendered by Ms. Lirio O. Mapa from the Center for Leadership and Change Inc.  She was very enthusiastic that the theme of ACPACI fits the topic selected. To continuously grow as an association,  the members as well as the officers should make trust and respect as the cornerstone of their relationship.  ACPACI being a volunteer organization needs to enrich servant leadership among its officers.

In the afternoon meeting, we had a back to back seminars on “SEC Securities Regulation Code 68/68.1 – Financial Reporting of Companies” and an update on “Philippine Accounting Standards 1” .  Able speakers in the person of Atty. Ma. Gracia Casals-Diaz,  SEC General Accountant and Ms. Mailene Sigue-Bisnar, Partner of Punongbayan and Araullo, handled the sessions,  respectively.
