ABOOUT THE SESSION
Ms. Kristin Koleen Davila-Palaganas, Vice President for Sustainability at SM Investment Corporation , presented the topic "How to Create a Career You Love".
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Ms. KOLEEN DAVILA PALAGANAS, currently serves as Vice President for Sustainability at SM Investments Corporation. She was awarded as “Asia’s Top Sustainability Superwomen 2019” in SG, by CSR Works International.
Koleen has devoted her career in sustainability, advancing the sustainable development agenda wherever she is called to serve. In her sustainability role at SM Investments, Koleen has been instrumental in defining the strategy and roadmap of the group’s sustainability agenda and achieving critical milestones not only for the group but in advancing sustainability in the business community.
Prior to joining SM, she has devoted more than 10 years of service to Habitat for Humanity International - serving in various parts of the world, in Europe, Asia and the Pacific, where she had contributed to the advancement of Habitat’s global exchange program and reviving the Philippine program, raising about Php3B of funding.
She also set-up the resource development department of St. Luke’s Medical Center and served as consultant to numerous non-profit organizations.
Koleen is currently a GRI Global Stakeholder Council Member, Founder of SustainablePH, a nonprofit focused on raising sustainability leaders and recognizing sustainability champions below 40 years old, and a Board Member of ChildHope Philippines, a non-profit organization that promotes the rights, protects and education children living on the street.
Koleen completed her Masters in International Cooperation for Sustainable Development at the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela in Spain, as a full scholar of the Agencia Espanola de Cooperacion Internacional al Desarollo (AECID).
In her early years, Koleen was a classical pianist - awarded as a full scholar of the Philippine High School of the Arts, National Arts Center and completed her Bachelor of Music at University of the Philippines, Diliman as a College Scholar.
